Sarita Bartaula is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and social change. She also serves as a board member of the Sapan Foundation, launched in 2024. Originally from Nepal and now based in Washington DC, she has been deeply involved in youth-led organisations since 2007, taking on various roles, from a dedicated volunteer to a strategic board member and even serving as president. Through these roles, Sarita has championed causes close to her heart, advocating for youth rights, gender equality, social inclusion, democracy, and human rights.
Her commitment to fostering positive change extends to education and leadership development. As a skilled trainer, Bartaula has imparted knowledge in collaborative dialogue, civic education, and civic leadership, empowering individuals to make a difference in their communities.
She holds the distinction of being a founding board member and former treasurer of the National Voter Right Forum Nepal, actively contributing to the advancement of voter rights in Nepal. Furthermore, as a board member of Bikas Udhyami Nepal, she continues to make a meaningful impact on social development initiatives.
Sarita is also a proud member of the Southasia Peace Action Network, connecting with like-minded individuals and organisations dedicated to peace and positive change.
