Sapan News aims to produce honest, non-biased, non-partisan, nuanced, reliable journalism that furthers the narrative of peace, dialogue and regionalism, and connects and covers Southasia and the diaspora.
We are an independent media outlet formally launched in March 2023. The initial soft launch took place in August 2021 through the platform of the Southasia Peace Action Network (Sapan).
Founded in 2021, the Southasia Peace Action Network is a coalition of individuals and organisations working towards freedom of trade, travel and tourism in South Asia, for people-to-people contact especially between India and Pakistan, and for soft borders or visa on arrival for South Asians in each other’s countries.
